Elias

Hi! My name is Elias, and I’m currently studying Finance at the University of Florida, with plans to pursue a master’s degree in either Information Technology or Finance. In high school, I graduated at the top of my class and achieved a 1520 on the SAT, with a 790 in Math. I was also recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar and excelled in competitions like DECA, Model UN, and FBLA.

During high school, I founded, led, and streamlined multiple business clubs, helping to elevate participation and learning experiences at American Heritage. I also understand the value of hard work both in and out of the classroom as a member of my Varsity basketball and volleyball teams. I’m passionate about helping others unlock their potential and always enjoy supporting those around me in reaching their goals.

I am teaching several classes this year: Finance Foundations for students aged 14-18, Entrepreneurship Essentials for students aged 14-18, SAT/ACT Preps, and Speech & Debate/Competitive Public Speaking.

Each package includes a complimentary introductory meeting with parents and students to understand the student’s interests and prior economics/finance experience and to create personalized lesson plans that will fully challenge and excite the student(s).

Classes are provided online using Zoom or Google Meet. A computer with reliable Internet connection is required for this course.

Days and times are to be coordinated with the teacher. However, a minimum of 1 or 2 classes needs to be taken each week in order to maximize results and ensure that the full package is taken within the defined time frame (refer to the “Dates of Sessions” clause for each package).

For classes with two or more participants, students should have a somewhat similar level of background experience so that they will all be engaged and comfortable with the pace of the lessons. Note that tutoring two or three kids at the same time can be a great way to enhance learning outcomes while promoting social interaction and collaboration.

The effectiveness of the tutoring sessions is heavily dependent on the student’s effort, dedication, and commitment. While the teacher will offer comprehensive instruction, practice, and support, the ultimate outcome of the sessions will be influenced by the student’s individual involvement and engagement in the learning process. The tutoring package aims to equip students with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to enhance their skills and knowledge in specific areas.

However, the success of the sessions relies on the student’s active participation, completion of assigned tasks, practice outside of sessions, and active involvement in the learning activities provided by the teacher. It is crucial for the student to come prepared for each session and maintain a proactive approach towards their learning.
